Badger & Dodo

Brock Lewin moved from Melbourne with his wife Claire to establish Badger and Dodo as
one of Ireland’s first speciality coffee roasters, in August 2008. We now supply some 200
venues nationwide, an online shop, 3 mobile carts, a café in Galway and export to some 20
venues in the middle east with our partner Roasta Moje Sevorn. Roasting on a Probat L25
and Joper CMS30, we produce 4 main blends (Blackwater, Jam Jar and the seasonal
speciality blends Winter Nights & Summer Daze) and we always have a selection of 5 to 6
seasonal speciality grade single origins / micro lots on offer from the Americas and Africa.
Elia Burbello is our resident Q grader, green buyer and roaster. Elia also manages training
for our new and existing accounts in Munster, whilst our Dublin account manager Aaron
Davis looks after the needs of our accounts in Leinster, Connaught and Ulster.
We are passionate La Marzocco distributors, couple with the back up of La Marzocco factory
trained technicians, and the ability to also full restore / refurish / pimp old La Marzocco’s as
well.
Brock was a judge for the SCAE in the very early days of Badger & Dodo and speciality coffee
in Ireland, circa 2009 – 2011/12. We are delighted to be involved with the SCA again and to
team up with Café Imports to bring a range of great coffees to this special event, to be held
outside of Dublin for the very first time.
Café Imports have been sourcing and importing coffee for almost 25 years. Founded in
Minneapolis, USA, Café Imports has since expanded to set up offices in both Berlin,
Germany and Melbourne, Australia. Our goals as an Importer are to Increase the quality of
life for all those involved in coffee, to decrease our negative impact on the Earth through
responsible business practices and to Share our passion through free education and support
for all elements of the coffee community.

We wish all competitors the best of luck and we’re delighted to help the winner make their
way to Dubai to represent Ireland in the world titles.
